The Vagina Monologues The Vagina Monologues

In 2005, Casa Valentina first opened its doors with seed funding from a performance of Eve Ensler's renowned play, The Vagina Monologues. Coming full circle, the February 23rd benefit production will commemorate over a decade of Casa Valentina's service to youth aging out of foster care, and their incredible battle to overcome sometimes insurmountable odds on their way to indpendence.

The Vagina Monologues addresses the feminine experience, touching on matters such as love, birth, rape, and sex. A binding theme throughout these poignant, moving, and hilarious stories is the celebration of the vagina as a tool for feminine empowerment and individuality.

Women's Issues Are Everyone's Issues...

This week, the world lost the talented Mary Tyler Moore. Her portrayal of modern woman Mary Richards on The Mary Tyler Moore Show was a groundbreaking achievement, as the show spotlighted the adventures of a single, professional woman in the big city. She showed the world that women can be and do anything they want.

As we gear up for the incredible groundbreaking production of The Vagina Monologues on February 23rd, we remember those amazing women who gave voice to issues facing women yesterday and today.

Join us at the Olympia Theater on Thursday, February 23rd for The Vagina Monologues!
